The holiday season is all about bringing joy, and at MassageBook, we’ve got a few ideas on how you can spread cheer to all of your massage clients this holiday:

1. Pay it forward

The holidays are an incredibly stressful time. Whether it’s worrying about gift buying or financials, guests visiting or family drama, everyone could use a little break.

Do this: Choose a select number of your loyal clients and give them a gift certificate. That’s right – just give one to them.  The only catch being that they can’t use it themselves.  You’ll be letting them know you really appreciate them AND you’ll almost be guaranteeing yourself a referral down the road.

Another variation on this approach is to discount your gift certificates for a limited time. How many more gift certificates and new clients could you get if you offered to sell your certificates at a 30% discount, or gave one free for every two purchased?  Mix it up, get a little creative and delight your clients!

2. A heartfelt thank you

Your clients could always take their business elsewhere. With the popularity of Groupon and Living Social, they have plenty of opportunities to get bodywork services for less than you offer them. They choose to come to you because of your expertise and their connection with you. Don’t let that go unnoticed. By simply accessing your online database of contacts, you can send handwritten thank you notes to your 25 best clients. Then send the next 50 an email thanking them for their business. In today’s digital world, this personalized effort will go a long way.

3. A small gift

Another way to surprise your clients would be to offer them a free service or add-on treatment while they’re there. Tell them “Happy Holidays” with lavender aromatherapy, a head and hand massage or an additional 10 minutes on the house. As the late Maya Angelou once said, “People will forget the things you did, but they’ll always remember how you made them feel.” Make them feel appreciated this holiday season, and we think your clients will be there for many years to come.

Have another way to surprise and delight your clients during the holidays? We’d love to hear them! Share your ideas on our Facebook page.
