Yoga and massage found me at the same time. Having spent the majority of my life intellectually stimulated but physically sedentary, I didn’t realize how much discomfort I was in on a regular basis until I received my first massage. Immediately upon experiencing the mental clarity and spiritual lightness from the physical experience, I concluded that I had to take a direct approach towards making my physical vessel feel better on a regular, sustainable, and independent basis, and thusly pursued yoga. Simultaneously studying for my massage license at Cortiva School of Massage and for my yoga teacher training at Inner Strength Studios amplified my comprehension of both. As a result, I view the two as inextricably linked. Now approaching 10 years in the field, I have studied a plethora of modalities from the West—Myofascial Release, Orthopedic Massage, Osteopathic techniques—to the East—Thai Massage, Shiatsu, Acupressure—and use all of the tools at my disposal to create a unique and profound massage experience. All of my massages take place fully clothed on a mat on the floor, and can vary from an generalized full body relaxation massage to a specific injury treatment protocol, depending on your needs. As a yoga practitioner, I have practiced a variety of styles, from the common vinyasa flows found in most studios to the more fixed forms of Ashtanga and Bikram yoga. Most recently I studied Yoga Synergy under Simon Borg Olivier, which breaks down complex postures into their composite parts for beneficial applications anyone may experience.
