If we haven't met, I'm Angela. As physical therapist specializing in myofascial release with 30 years of experience, I've spent years helping people just like you get out of pain so they can feel good while doing both the things they have to do AND the things they want to do. Things they have to do like going to work, caring for others, doing laundry and cleaning and shopping. Things they want to do like walking and hiking and running; gardening and fishing; playing music and creating art; yoga, pilates, cross
fit.
Myofascial release is amazing - the most amazing type of manual therapy that I have been trained in (and I have spent a lot of time, effort, and money gaining extensive training in lots of things!) - but that's not the only tool we'll use to help you get back to where you want to be. As a comprehensively trained Pilates teacher with a background in physical therapy, I'll get you started with a home program that will help you the results you want and we'll progress smartly. As a Reiki Master, I will also integrate Reiki energy healing, meditation, and sound healing into your sessions.
Self empowerment is a HUGE piece of your healing journey. You'll learn a lot - about what's going on, about how your body works, and about how your activities (or limitation in activities) impacts your body. You'll also learn self release techniques and home exercises so you can get (and keep) yourself feeling better. We'll dive into manageable lifestyle changes you can make, one step at a time, to help you get to where you want to be. (And full disclosure, once my clients start to see the possibilities and potential for themselves open up, they reassess their goals because they realize there can be more.)
