Alice Palmeri Massage Collective is a Southwest, Portland therapeutic massage practice. Feel free to book with either Alice or Emily.
Born in New York City, Alice Palmeri has lived in Oregon for the past 25 years. She earned a doctorate degree from the National College of Natural Medicine in 2007 and currently practices as a licensed massage therapist. Alice has advanced training in adult, pediatric, and infant craniosacral therapy, orthobionomy, structural integration, muscle energy technique, myofascial release, Swedish massage, cupping, hydrotherapy, whiplash and neck injury recovery, ADHD, pregnancy and pediatric massage therapy. She practices as a licensed massage therapist in Southwest Portland as part of a wellness collective.
As a bodywork practitioner, Alice loves working with her clients to help them gain balance physically, emotionally, and energetically. Her experience has led her to focus her practice on pediatric and teen wellness, whiplash recovery, neck pain, pain management, headache and migraine relief, and families. Children, expectant & postpartum mothers are an important part of her practice. Alice uses techniques to support children with breastfeeding, support tongue tie surgery, improve sleep quality, aid gastrointestinal disorders and incontinence, relieve anxiety, recover from PTSD, and depression. Alice also treats those with pain due to motor vehicle accidents and concussions. Her practice honors diversity and inclusion, welcoming patients with gender affirming, body neutral, and anti-racist practices. In her free time, Alice likes to do pottery, hike, knit, cook, play with her dogs, garden and spend time with her husband & two sons. And of course, get massaged.
Emily's approach is rooted in the belief that we all deserve to rest and receive. After receiving consistent massage for a motor vehicle accident and climbing injury, she was inspired by its profound capacity to support both physical and emotional healing.
In treatments, Emily targets hard-to-reach areas of deep tension, for an effective and therapeutic massage. She blends deeper vigorous work with softer soothing movements to encourage a calm, restorative state in the body and mind. Her primarily modalities include Myofascial Release, Deep Tissue, Tui Na, Hot Stone, and Cranial Sacral. She offers care for chronic low back pain, fascial restrictions, postpartum, and injury or surgical recovery. She has experience working with concussion, whiplash, and muscle dysfunction related to motor vehicle accidents, and also supports clients navigating PTSD and mental health challenges like anxiety or depression. All clients are welcome.
Emily also teaches at a farm based Waldorf-inspired outdoor school. She has a passion for holistic, earth-based education and human development, which further enriches her work. This background in teaching helps her to be creative and patient with pediatric and neurodivergent clients. She is happy to adapt sessions to clients needs in warm and engaging ways.
Emily received her initial training from East West College of the Healing Arts. She continues to expand her knowledge through ongoing mentorship and advanced training such as John F. Barnes Myofascial Release method and Tui Na courses.
Outside of her practice, Emily enjoys hiking, biking, gardening, foraging, and doing ceramics.
