Heidi has been in practice as a massage therapist since 2008 and completed her Master's in Acupuncture in 2018. Integrating acupuncture with manual trigger point therapy allows her to treat conditions in a more holistic manor while getting to the root cause of many orthopedic conditions and myofascial pain. Heidi specializes in pain management and injury rehabilitation but also enjoys helping people manage the stressors of daily living with lifestyle modifications and home-care activities. Heidi's integrative approach to bodywork focuses on deep tissue massage, myofascial trigger point therapy and orthopedic acupuncture to manage pain and support your unique and individual goals. Heidi believes effective bodywork can play an integral role in keeping things running smoothly while you focus on what matters most to you. Evidence-informed acupuncture and manual therapies are used to problem-solve specific concerns. In addition to Kaivalya Bodywork in Watertown, Heidi enjoys doing sports massage for the Harvard Women's Swimming and Diving team to keep the athletes injury free and race ready during their competition season. The only thing Heidi loves more than learning about anatomy, kinesiology, and physiology, is getting out to experience, explore, and enjoy movement and the beauty of how the body works.
