Chiko is a Japanese who came to the U.S. in the late 80's to attend a college. She was a gymnast in her youth and a gymnastics school owner while her daughter was also a gymnast. After receiving her esthetics license, Chiko continued her education in healthcare and received her license in massage therapy and bodywork. She has worked at a large franchise spa in Durham and a day spa in North Raleigh.

As to her massage style, it is an integrated approach that incorporates multiple modalities or technique such as Swedish, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point, Shiatsu, Trager, stretching, and use of tools such as a massage gun, hot stones, and gua sha. It is her own unique style that also taps you into energy healing such as Reiki. 

** Regarding the infrared sauna:
