Structural Integration, also known as Rolfing, is a type of bodywork that focuses on improving posture, alignment, and mobility. It aims to balance the body’s structure and release tension in the fascia (the connective tissue surrounding muscles) to reduce pain and improve overall function. The therapy typically involves a series of 12 sessions, each focusing on a different chains in the body’s fascial system. During the sessions, I will use deep pressure along with manual manipulation of the fascia help you realign and organize your body. The result is often improved posture, increased mobility, and reduced pain. Structural Integration is a highly personalized and holistic approach to bodywork and is often sought by people looking to address chronic pain, improve athletic performance, or enhance overall wellness.
Tobey was introduced for the first time to Structural integration (SI) for a persistent injury years ago. It was through this healing process that she found what she thinks of as the true calling for her life. She became a licened massage therapist (LMT) in 2019, graduating from Bancroft School of Massage Therapy in Worcester, MA. Her long term goal was to attend and complete Anatomy Trains Structural Integration as soon as it was possible. This was completed in June of 2023. She is passionate about helping people find more ease in their bodies for daily life. Her strongest belief is that we should all be able to have as much fun doing what we love for as long as we can and that SI is a key to having this longevity. "Motion is lotion". If we can move, we will continue to keep moving. In September of 2023 she recived her board certification for SI. For more information regarding this certification please follow this link: https://thecbsi.org/. Tobey is no longer excepting new massage clients and will only be offering Sessions for SI. If you have questions about SI or would like to schedule your first appointment please text her at 978-270-2054.
