When I “finally” began massage school in 2023, it felt like a calling I had been putting off for a long time. I love both the tranquil and the nerdy aspects of my work, and helping my clients feel better. My work in holistic wellness began long before massage school. I was deeply influenced by my studies in herbal medicine, which included a 2.5 year apprenticeship in the Wise Woman Tradition. I also found it powerful to learn about physiological childbirth, and after a DONA doula training (2014) I attended several births- what an honor. My personal practices of dance, singing, and qi gong teach me about the human body and help me to take care of myself. My life was especially impacted by massage when a series of Maya abdominal massages (2018) profoundly improved my wellness. (I am always happy to offer abdominal massage when I feel it could benefit the client.) In my free time I enjoy cooking, the performing arts, and the natural beauty of the Four Lakes region.
