HELLO, AND WELCOME!I am Joe Orosco, owner and operator of REVIVAL ROOM Massage here in Madison!
THIS IS A PLACE FOR HANDSHAKES, HUGS, FREEDOM, AND SMILING FACES! Everyone is treated like family, not walking biohazards.
(Maybe that's not your "thing." No worries, there are plenty of other places you may enjoy visiting instead.)
- Recently ranked #1 in Madison and surrounding/outlying areas by Massagebook.com
- "ESSENTIAL BUSINESS" on Governor Evers' executive order, March 12, 2020
- My Five-Star Reviews here on Massagebook, or places like Facebook, Google and Groupon, speak for themselves.
- I do not identify as a "small business" because I don't believe in limiting or labeling myself in that way.
- I do not identify as "minority-owned" because quite honestly, there is nothing minor about me.
If you are new to massage therapy, or someone who receives massage regularly, thank you for visiting my page!
For starters, I have 19+ years of experience; originally trained in Phoenix, Arizona. I have been in Madison for over seven years, and an independent, privately owned and operated massage therapy practice for over twelve years total.
With a variety of massage techniques to utilize in any particular session, I am confident you'll be happy working with me to achieve pain-free results. I aim to find the cause, and not just treat the symptom(s).Sessions may include one, or a combination of, the following:
- Orthopedic or therapeutic massage
- Cranial Sacral
- Neuromuscular
- Myofascial release
- Esalen (but with more pressure than a standard Swedish session)
- Sports/deep tissue/active release
- ALL sessions include secure sheet draping, tucking, etc.
My work is focused on providing high-quality service and customer satisfaction. I will do everything I can to meet your expectations. In stressful times, results-oriented massage therapy can be a powerful ally in your self-care routine.
Enjoy the benefits of massage by working with me to establish a treatment plan that best suits your budget, schedule, and needs. I always say every BODY needs a massage from time to time!
- I have been proudly partnered with many LSM Chiropractic clinics in and around Madison since 2018 and can work with your current chiropractor or physical therapist to help achieve the results you strive for.
- In October 2019, I was blessed with the opportunity to work with the UW Swim/Dive Team! I was asked to assist UW Track and Field as needed for their 2020-2021 season before the season was canceled by the Big 10.
- December 2021 provided me with a great pairing with local radio station, Life 102.5 FM.
- All are welcome, but I am a privately owned, membership-driven business. "Membership" means clients pay a recurring discounted monthly rate and have access to additional discounted services and gift cards.
- Membership isn't required but is preferred, assuming you like what I do and need regularly scheduled sessions.
- One of the best ways to avoid muscle tension, soreness, and/or stress is to visit once a month. That is the average based on 19+ years of experience. It isn't expected but advised, when I am asked how often one should visit. Regular massage visits keep the peaks and valleys of relaxation at more reasonable levels.
- NEW MONTHLY MEMBERS IN 2023 GET $10 OFF SERVICES AND GIFT CARDS! Who LOWERS prices during a time of inflation? THIS GUY DOES.
- Non-members are welcome to visit at their own convenience and pay regular price, like shopping at Costco or Sam's Club, but there is no pressure to become a monthly member.
- I am not regularly open to the public, meaning I do not take walk-ins, last minute, or same-day appointments. Please plan ahead to get the day and time you need!
- ALL appointments must be made in advance for health history screening purposes; for example: the online intake form needs to be filled out prior to the visit, when listing the reason(s) for the appointment needing to be made.
- Gift card purchases can be made in person, but must be appointment-only. This is to account for my schedule and the possibility of being in the middle of an appointment, if someone decided to randomly stop in to buy a gift card.
- Gift cards can also be self-designed and purchased online and emailed to the recipient or printed for mailing or hand-delivery.
- If you aren't sure if your recipient has been here before, go with the safer option and choose the "Introductory Rate/New Clients" option. You'll get the discounted rate, but they will still get the same awesome service others have posted reviews about! Copy and paste the following link for more info:
https://www.massagebook.com/search/WI/Madison/massage-therapy/RevivalRoomMadison/gift-certificatesNEW and RETURNING CLIENTS OVER THE AGE OF 30: It should be noted that my liability insurance carrier has advised against taking appointments with clients for at least 30 days after any experimental vaccination or booster. Many side effects are known, (over 1,000 according to official Pfizer documents); second-hand vaccination sickness and protein “shedding” are a major concern, and it is at this point where it should be considered whether or not to schedule an appointment.
- Contrary to popular belief, no one can legally require proof or ask to see documentation of any kind, for any medical treatment or vaccination. I already know I have never had the right to ask, but be responsible and mindful before scheduling an appointment. There is no harm done by clicking away and finding another therapist at this time (should you fall within this 30-day window).
- With that in mind, by consenting to massage therapy, I am not liable for side effects of any kind that may arise or appear during or after a session. You also acknowledge you are responsible for your own general health and do not hold Revival Room Massage - Madison liable after consenting to visit this establishment. There is an online waiver to be filled out after an appointment has been made.
*Vaccination of any kind is 100% optional and a PRIVATE personal choice. It is against Constitutional Law and a HIPAA privacy violation to discuss it and I will not engage if asked. I do not need to know when or if any type of vaccination or booster has taken place. In 19+ years as a therapist, I have never required proof of vaccination of any kind in order to provide services and I am not about to start requiring it now. *
- To be blunt, if you still want to double-mask and avoid handshakes with a massage therapist you scheduled yourself to visit, there are plenty of others to choose from. We will not be a good fit. Fear is not welcome here.
- Psalm 27:1 The Lord is my light and my salvation – whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life – of whom shall I be afraid?
- I respect you; you respect me. Let's work as a team to help you feel better, reduce stress/tension, relieve muscle aches, etc.
*The Kensington West Building is a private office building with very little random foot traffic and is considered private property by the Dane County Clerk's Office.**** Masks are not required in The Kensington West Building (note: exhaling carbon dioxide, and then breathing it in again because it's trapped in a mask, defeats the purpose of the detox effects of massage therapy). Every Order or mandate 2020-2022 stated exemptions for reasons such as the inability to breathe. ***
Your fear is your fear. My faith is my faith. We will not make a good team if these two things clash.NOW THEN....
It's time to book an appointment! (Same-day appointments are not guaranteed.)
***ALL FIRST TIME VISITORS! Feel free to use the "INTRODUCTORY RATE/NEW CLIENTS" tab in the "Service Menu" for scheduling your first appointment.
- You may have seen me advertised on Groupon but my agreement with them ended at the end of 2019. In order to continue offering coupon site-like pricing, I am having new clients go through this scheduling site and pay me directly. My Five-Star Reviews here on Massagebook, or places like Facebook, Google and Groupon, speak for themselves.
There are other options and tabs to choose from, but this is a start. I also have discounted bundles or series packages available!
- Become a monthly “member” and get discounted massages once a month, with any additional massages at the same discounted rate, including gift cards!
***UW STUDENTS (Madison)! (Discount available for Edgewood College and MATC Students as well) - (EFFECTIVE August 29, 2022, the price of a 60-minute massage at The NICK was raised to $75 and is still that same price at the new Bakke Recreation & Wellbeing Center!!)
UW Campus Affiliates & Community Members are being charged $85 for one hour at this location as well. NOT HERE THOUGH!
The price of my 60-minute massages for UW Students is only $60. (The introductory rate for 60-minute massages for non UW students is $65.)Sessions here cost $60 for sixty full minutes (I have heard Campus therapists only give you 50 minutes of actual hands-on time). There are now 30- and 45-minute options available too (which is not offered at the Bakke Recreation & Wellbeing Center). I can extend to 75 or 90 minutes too. Let's talk about that after your first visit!
- There is a special tab for students to use. In 2023, UHS moved massage therapy over to the Bakke Recreation & Wellbeing Center.
- I have heard there is only one, sometimes two, massage therapists on-hand at the Bakke Recreation & Wellbeing Center right now. I have repeatedly heard from several students that it could be 90 days or more to wait for a massage appointment (even before Covid-19).
- I do not work for UW, but you can still get your massage appointment here, for a LOWER price you would pay on campus. There is no preferential treatment where athletes get priority scheduling. It is first come, first served here. Everyone needs to have the same chance for a massage appointment when the time comes!
Cash accepted - unlike on campus and without having to wait so long to get an appointment. Credit/debit cards, Venmo, PayPal, and CashApp can be accepted too. ALL first-time visitors are required to pay online, but after that, appointments can be paid with cash, Venmo, or other methods.
- There is no standing in a line to get in and you don't have to wait for me to come downstairs for you. Everyone is free to come inside the building and make their way up to my 3rd floor suite!
- The cancellation policy on campus is ridiculous, in my opinion, and is as follows: "Cancellations will not be accepted in-person or over the phone." The cancellation and refund process is online only and looks hard to get done, if needed!
- Campus policy requires a 3-day cancellation notice AND an additional 10% processing fee! I don't do cancellation fees here. Sometimes we have to cancel or reschedule at the last minute. It happens!
- If you have to cancel or reschedule your appointment within 24 hours of your scheduled session, call/text/email and we'll figure it out. I know things come up, and I'm not going to charge a fee for having to reschedule or cancel, even if it is the same day of your appointment.
(Edgewood College and MATC Students - you may also use the tab for UW Students when scheduling your appointments.)
***QUARTZ AND UW HEALTH MEDICARE ADVANTAGE members (formerly known as Senior Preferred Plan):
Effective January 1, 2020, Medicare Advantage has included massage therapy as a covered (paid) service with doctor referral. I have been credentialed as a provider of massage services and can bill insurance for your massages.
- Depending on the level of coverage (Elite, Value, or Core), anywhere from 6 to 12 massages can be covered per year, at 30 to 60 minutes each visit (length of session to be determined by doctor recommendation and/or diagnosis).
- Co-pays vary from $0, $10, and $15 for each visit, depending on the level of coverage. The co-pay applies regardless of length of massage session per visit.
*THESE APPOINTMENTS NEED TO BE MADE BY PHONE because a doctor referral is required and needs to be reviewed to make sure your condition or conditions are covered by the insurance payer. *
NEW FOR 2023! Network Health has added a "Pick Your Perks" program that covers alternative treatments, such as massage therapy for up to $1,525 per year. A doctor referral is needed in order for you to receive reimbursement. I provide a receipt after the session, which you would then submit to Network Health, along with your doctor referral. If you have any questions, contact Network Health by the number on the back of your card. Please ask any and all questions prior to scheduling. I am constantly reaching out to chiropractors in the greater Madison and outlying areas, so we are all on the same page. These doctors have the info they need in order to prescribe massage therapy based on the covered diagnosis codes provided to them at the beginning of the year.
***A few important notes for all visitors, new and existing***
If a service has to be canceled the same day as the appointment because of an illness, it can be canceled or rescheduled with no penalty or fee. Be aware that it is better to cancel your service before arriving, even if it is the same day, rather than coming into the building and then having to cancel or reschedule. It will be completely understood if you have to cancel or change your appointment. If you have prepaid for a service, you will receive a "credit" on your account to be used again at a later date and time. A refund needs to be requested if that is what you choose, otherwise, this credit is the default action when a prepaid appointment is cancelled.
This cancellation policy, or lack thereof, applies "pandemic" or not.
Once again, WELCOME TO REVIVAL ROOM Massage - Madison!
- This is what living looks like. This is what freedom feels like!
- Isaiah 8:12 ‘Do not call conspiracy everything this people calls a conspiracy; do not fear what they fear, and do not dread it.’
- The TRUTH may be the new minority in other places, but NOT HERE.
- As of April 6, 2022, the Dane County Public Health Dashboard was showing a 99.908% chance of surviving Covid-19, going back to February 1, 2020 (a tracking period of 26 months).
- These numbers on their own Dashboard constantly provided zero justification for mandates. (472) Covid-related deaths out of a population of (561,504) is not a public health emergency. According to public record, SEVEN of those people had Covid-19 listed as the ONLY cause of death.
- (212) of those people died during this same time period between November 2020 and January 2021, as in a typical Winter season.
- Taking those three months into consideration, this means the remaining 260 people died in Dane County across the other 23 months. THIS IS AN OVERALL AVERAGE OF (11.30) people per month. You would think the streets of Madison were lined with dead bodies, the way the fear in this city and county had taken hold of people.
- Another stat on the Dashboard: 44.7% of the 472 deaths were in LONG TERM CARE FACILITIES. Meaning: 261 people, in 26 months, who have died in this county, WERE NOT in a Long-Term Care Facility.
- PHMDC Dashboard stats show 126 people under the age of 70 had died in Dane County in 26 months. 97 of those people were between the ages of 50 and 69. It doesn't mean those people don't matter or they don't count. What matters is doing the math. Follow the "science."
- 29 people under the age of 50, in a county population of 561, 504, had died in 26 months, and this is how the masses in Dane County react? THIS is how we show love to our neighbors?? By acting like walking by another person means certain death?
- Kids were required to wear masks when they have 0.00% chance of dying from Covid-19 under the age of 18. The Dashboard shows 0.0% death rate all the way up to age THIRTY-NINE.
- Ages 40-49 are at 0.1%
- Ages 50-59 are at 0.3%
- Ages 60-69 are at 0.9%
- https://publichealthmdc.com/coronavirus/dashboard
PAGE 8. It's all there.- People trusted local health officials and "experts" who told everyone they "had to" wear a mask for over two years. Now those same "experts" are saying masks aren't required, but people are still wearing them. Based on what, exactly?
I'M NOT UPDATING THE PHMDC DASHBOARD INFO ANYMORE. It's been over THREE years. The numbers, the data, the facts, the SCIENCE have all spoken for themselves from the very beginning.- Do you want to know more about the lies we have been told? Visit www.daneundivided.com/blog for more information.
The site https://spaceplace.nasa.gov/science/en/ describes "science" as:
- curiosity in thoughtful action about the world and how it behaves.
- not just a tidy package of knowledge.
- not just a step-by-step approach to discovery.
- more like a mystery inviting anyone who is interested to become a detective and join in the fun.
(None of this was ever "fun," especially when people will still argue about something they didn't research or look up for themselves.)- The PHMDC dashboard has stats showing heart disease, cancer, and tobacco use all separately killed more Dane County residents in 2020 and 2021 than Covid-19. Their DECADES-LONG history of death rates is multiple times higher too.
- Why didn't the "At-risk" population wears masks BEFORE 2020? I was one of them and my doctor at SSM Health never mentioned it.
- Why have we never been "threatened" with mandatory, door-to-door bottles of Vitamin C, Vitamin D, zinc, and selenium to help with boosting our immune systems? That falls under the definition of "disease control" considering that is part of what the letters "CDC" stand for.
- The Covid-19 virus has never been isolated; Verified by a recorded phone call I personally made to UW Health in December 2021, (as well as an email from Accelerated Labs in Wauwatosa, who took over mass testing for PHMDC in November 2022).
- UW HOSPITAL AND LABS are still processing RT-PCR TESTS at a 45 CYCLE THRESHOLD. "Mr. Science" Anthony Fauci is quoted saying a cycle threshold above 36 is only going to show "dead nucleotides (building blocks of viral matter)."
- Watch him say it with his own words here at the 4:46 mark:
https://youtu.be/a_Vy6fgaBPE
This means every test will show some viral matter, which more than likely will be dead cells.- A DISEASE SO DEADLY, YOU STILL HAVE TO BE TESTED TO EVEN KNOW IF YOU HAVE IT (using tests that can't tell the difference).
- Yes, the PCR test still can't differentiate between Covid-19 or any other viruses OR BACTERIA. How do we know this? Read on....
- Page 18 of the FDA's own PCR test instruction manual says this and was verified by UW Hospital. I have this testing info recorded from a phone call I made on Dec 16, 2021, and was guided to find the PDF file of said instruction manual by a UW Health lab tech.
https://www.fda.gov/media/136314/download- Yet, we were constantly told the "positive cases" in Dane County were high and the mask mandates needed to be extended over and over again.
- How many positive "CASES" in Dane County were DUPLICATES from the same people testing positive over and over again, but not actually being "sick" or contagious?
- Until 2020, a "case" referred to an actual sick person. That word has now been twisted to mean: someone who tests positive on a test the CDC and FDA discontinued emergency use of, and doesn't have any symptoms.
- IF THE N.F.L. can have the 2022 SUPER BOWL IN LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA, one of the most "locked down" states in the U.S., at the time, and fill that stadium with 73,000+ people, THERE NEVER WAS A PUBLIC HEALTH EMERGENCY.
- In a letter dated January 13, 2022, Public Health Madison & Dane County responded to an open records request, made by an unnamed citizen and patriot, asking for data showing the positive effects, if any, to justify their never-ending mask mandate. Their response was "We made a diligent search for records responsive to your request within our agency. There are no responsive records."
- The "mask-erade" is over. The lies are finally catching up to the people who told them and stole TWO YEARS of our lives.
- When did the TRUTH become the new minority in this country?
Ephesians 5:11 Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather, expose them.- Do you want to know more about the lies we have been told? Visit www.daneundivided.com/blog for more information.
- 2 Kings 6:16 – ‘Don’t be afraid,’ the prophet answered. ‘Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.’
- If this was ever really about our health, fruits, vegetables, exercise, vitamins, human contact/interaction, and sunlight would have been made "mandatory" decades ago. Their game ends when everyone stops playing it. STAND UP. PUSH BACK. No one person's rights end where another person's fear begins.
- Denial of the truth doesn't change the facts.
Isaiah 54:14 – In righteousness you will be established: tyranny will be far from you; you will have nothing to fear. Terror will be far removed; it will not come near you.
- It is not my intention or desire to treat every client as if they are potentially "sick."
- You never have to wear a mask during your massage, especially if you have trouble breathing or any other condition, as described above (apparently, some salons and spas still require the client to wear a mask the entire time they are on the massage table, even in the prone [facing down] position - I stay away from places like that, so I have no idea if that is still a "thing" or not).
- Exhaling carbon dioxide, and then breathing it in again because it's trapped in a mask, defeats the purpose of the detox effects of massage therapy.
The thought of going somewhere for a massage in that setting is unappealing to me, and I do not want to present that kind of dreadful environment to my clients. We designed this place to be a haven, a relaxing space for escape. The outside world can be put on hold for an hour or so. Take some time for yourself!
This is my calling; my passion; my assignment, and I am here for you! We expect and receive restoration, relaxation, revival, and healing in this space.
Revival Room Massage - Madison is about love, freedom, compassion, and THE TRUTH; not fear, indifference, discrimination, or hate. To quote the song "O Holy Night:" "Truly He taught us to love one another. His law is love and His gospel is peace."
