Jesse has loved sports and dance his whole life, he began breakdancing in fifth grade and, after becoming proficient enough, was soon encouraged by his mother (a professor of education) to teach by 8th grade. He taught breakdancing through high-school and performed with local Eugene crew, The Edge Breakers, for years to follow. He continued to breakdance and teach, while attending Lane Community College with a focus on dance. Upon completion of LCC, where they approached dance as a healing art, he was awarded scholarships to attend Cornish College of the Arts, where the focus was a more technical approach; dance as performance art. He graduated from Cornish in 2008' and was signed by MSA agency in L.A., where he lived for 2 years before moving back to Seattle in 2010. In 2013 Jesse began training in Classical Pilates, during his training he made a nicer leather strap that replaced the lower quality fabric or leather option that comes standard on the Classical Pilates machines. In 2014 he was invited to train at Vintage Pilates summer intensive in exchange for a bundle of his straps which they used to outfit their studio. He is so thankful for their early support and feedback. Jesse is excited to share Classical Pilates technique with you on Gratz equipment that is outfitted with straps he made.
