With over 15 years of experience, I combine Thai, Esalen, Swedish, NMT, and others into a powerful, intuitive, and therapeutic massage experience My clients have reported less pain, headache relief, better sleep, better mobility, less stress, relief from pre and post sport's events, long lasting relief from the effects of scoliosis, and release of muscular tension after their massages. Some have said that I have "healing hands" and it is an honor making people feel better and interacting with the unique world of the human body. I take seriously the trust needed to invite me into your physical healing journey!
I've studied and used aromatherapy for many years, my first experience of it inside of a health food store when I was a teenager. I enjoy making household, personal care, and beauty products with oils for myself and others and am currently writing a recipe booklet so others can enjoy some of my creations. I seem to always be concocting something! I believe that plant oils have a great effect on the mind, body, and emotions and compliment touch therapy.
Other offerings include Chi Nei Tsang, a type of stomach massage that treats the energetic lines that correspond to the body's organs, helping to detox emotional pain, repressed feelings, and release emotionally stuck areas.

How to Receive a Great Massage:
~ Before coming, do a mental scan of your body and think about which areas you find tension or discomfort that you can ask for work on
~ Do not wear strong perfumes or colognes that may interfere with the natural scents in the room or those being used in the massage. They also tend to linger on the skin of the therapist and can take awhile to dissipate.
~ Ask for what you want. Don't be afraid to ask the therapist for a switch in pressure, more bolsters or cushions, extra blankets or less if temperature is not what you need on the table. If anything is uncomfortable at all, please speak up.
~ Throughout the massage, do another mental scan, and pay attention to where you might be tensing up. Breathe into that area and let go. In general, it's great to take deep breaths during the massage and helps the process of bringing down tension in the muscles.
~ Be patient with the process. Sometimes it can take up to 30 minutes for the body to relax and switch from the active, sympathetic nervous response, to the more relaxed parasympathetic response.
~ Talking is fine and sometimes can help you feel at ease, but limited conversation can also help the mind to shut down and the body relax.
~ If you are feeling under the weather, let your therapist know. It may be best for both of you if you reschedule your massage.
~ Drink lots of water after the massage, rest, and don't work out.
