About Me
Hi, I’m Melanie, a licensed massage therapist, NASM certified personal trainer, and lifelong athlete with a passion for helping people move, feel, and perform at their best.
I grew up in the mountains of West Virginia, where I discovered my love for movement and competition early on. I ran cross country and track for over 8 years, and that experience sparked my lifelong interest in how the body moves, recovers, and excels.
After completing my education in Greenville, North Carolina, I became a licensed massage therapist and have spent the last 13 years working with clients to reduce pain, recover from injuries, and improve overall wellness. I later became a certified personal trainer and nutrition coach through NASM, allowing me to take a more holistic approach to recovery, strength, and performance.
My Services & Specialties
My work blends therapeutic bodywork and assisted stretching to support recovery, mobility, and performance. I specialize in:
- Sports Massage
- Deep Tissue
- Myofascial Release
- Trigger Point Therapy
- Lymphatic Drainage
- Swedish Massage
- Therapeutic Massage
- Pre & Postnatal Massage
- Graston Technique
- Kinesiology Taping
In 2024, I worked as a Rehab and Strength Coach at Wellsport, where I helped clients bridge the gap between physical therapy and full return to sport or everyday activity.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with professional athletes in football, basketball, baseball, swimming, cycling, running, and dance as well as weekend warriors, busy parents, and individuals simply looking to feel better in their bodies.
My Athletic Background
As a sponsored triathlete, I’ve competed in over 30 triathlons, including a 70.3 Half Ironman. In 2016, I raced at the XTERRA Trail Run World Championship (21K) Hawaii, and I’ve qualified for four national triathlon championships (Sprint & Olympic distances). In 2024, I became the Texas State Champion in my age group. I’m currently training for my first Full Ironman, scheduled for November 1st, 2025.
My Philosophy
Whether you’re recovering from an injury, training for your next race, or just looking to feel stronger and more balanced, I take a personalized, results driven approach to help you reach your goals. I believe in treating the whole body combining movement, manual therapy, and education to help you move better, perform better, and live pain free.
