My personal style is a
mix of Swedish and deep tissue adapted to client needs. I like to find that "just right" depth of pressure to release tension, provide relief from pain and create a
deep sense of relaxation. In addition to relaxation massage, I provide therapeutic massage for specific
conditions and injuries, whether acute or chronic. Helping you feel good and achieve your wellness goals is my mission.
I completed the
massage program at Rogue Community College in 2015, while also teaching as
a dance instructor at the college (which is how I became aware of the program).
I have been involved in social dancing since attending the University of
Oregon, and following my passion for dance, I began teaching after college.
My focus had always been on developing sensitivity and connection in teaching (and learning) dance, and I believe
that this has helped me as a therapist both in feeling out problem areas as
well as communicating and reacting to a client’s needs.
I believe in best practice in massage and that the techniques we use as therapists should have a firm grounding in science. In practice, however, massage is as much of an art as it is a science in which as practitioners must employ their senses and sensibility while working with clients.
In addition to the
basic training required for massage licensure, I have taken additional classes
for specific areas of interest including trigger point therapy, deep tissue
massage, and sports massage.
Know someone who just 's massages?
Go on, be a good friend and share MassageBook with them. They'll love you for it.
