Lee's journey into the world of massage therapy started when he sustained a lower back injury as an avid weightlifter while training nearly a decade ago. It was at the suggestion of a concerned colleague that he try massage therapy and yoga to help remedy the chronic stiffness and pain. Massage therapy & yoga became an integral part of his life, a means to improve performance, efficiency & fulfillment with his body. There was a realization of the importance of maintaining a holistic approach to fitness and health and becoming a student of mindful, functional movement & strength. Lee received his Bachelor's of Science in Exercise Physiology from East Carolina University in 2010. He spent his early adulthood immersed in sports medicine working as an exercise physiologist & personal trainer. In 2016 he took a leap of faith and quit his career to become a registered Yoga Instructor with Yoga Alliance. He has since received an additional 300 hours of training in Rishikesh India, becoming a 500 Hr. Registered Yoga Instructor. He realized his ultimate passion was to utilize all of his knowledge regarding the mind & the body to facilitate healing in others and became a licensed bodywork & massage therapist in 2020. His signature style is an integrative massage encompassing many of the techniques he learned while in India, drawing on his knowledge of human anatomy & kinesiology, and joint movements & stretches inspired through the practice of yoga. He also utilizes meditative techniques to encourage self-awareness of the body, fluid & rhythmic styles to promote relaxation and deep pressure to restore function to stressed muscles.
