In my massage practice, I am a big fan of utilizing heat applications to help make working deep into the muscle more comfortable and relaxing, as well as reduce inflamation after massage. I tend to utilize primarily myofascial release techniques, trigger point therapy, and deep tissue massage. Those primary techniques are assisted by hot stone massage, various stretches, and lymphatic drainage where appropriate. Before we begin a session, we will take time to discuss primary goals for each session, areas to avoid, any adjustments that need to be made to maximize the benefit you receive from the session, and any other questions you might have on your mind. During the session, I always follow the lead of the client regarding their conversation preferences. If you'd like to chat, I am happy to chat if you initiate! If you prefer a quiet massage, I will respect that and only speak to check in about your comfort levels as minimally necesary as possible.
