Life can become overwhelming. Whether you are managing a home and/or raising your children, to
working outside the home, you are constantly being pulled in different directions and it is hard to keep up. Technology is such a huge part of all of our lives and is incredibly hard for us to disconnect. We answer a colleague's questions from the stands at a child's soccer game; we pay the bills while watching TV; we order groceries while stuck in traffic. In a time when no one seems to have enough time, our devices allow us to be many places at once--but at the cost of being unable to fully inhabit the place where we actually want to be. Better Naturally was initially created to help remove these interruptions and allow us a safe space to disconnect and relax.
My name is Deann Czaplewski, LMT and I am the Owner of Better Naturally, LLC, which came about in 2014 when I lost my mother suddenly due to health complications. This rocked my world and I started wondering what I was doing to my own health due to the stress, anxiety and overwhelming feelings of never being enough for everyone. I started seeking better ways to address my health needs including massage, bodywork, essential oils and self-care. This led me to become a doTERRA Wellness Advocate educating people on how to use pure certified therapeutic
grade essential oils in their overall wellness plans. I left the corporate world in 2018 to take care of my father who was in hospice and this is when I decided to make a complete career change. I enrolled at WellSpring School of Allied Health where I graduated from the Massage Therapy program in October 2019, after which I passed the MBLEX to become a fully Licensed Massage
Therapist so I could expand my services for my clients. I further continued my education through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and received my Certification as a Personal Trainer. I also have my Bachelors of Arts degree inHuman Relations and have received certification in CranioSacral, Orthopedic Massage and Reiki levels I and II.
After working in the medical and pharmaceutical fields, as well as for a fortune 100 company, I
decided to finally put my family first and build my dream company where I can physically help other people live their fullest lives. After creating Better Naturally, I decided to expand my dream of opening a holistic wellness center and created Olathe Holistic Health and Wellness Center in July of 2021. This is located in downtown Olathe where other holistic practitioners can share space
and collaborate to better assist their clients on their overall wellness journey. I am a mother to three beautiful daughters, a wife to my high school sweetheart and best friend and thoroughly enjoy the company of our three dogs.
In creating the business plan for Better Naturally, LLC, my focus was to bring natural healing
practices to people in the hopes of helping them avoid unnecessary procedures, medications, and/or surgeries and bring them a better quality of life through all the different stages a body goes through in a lifetime. Out of this business plan, my dream of bringing together several different mindfulness
practices into one space where clients can choose what therapy and wellness plan best fits their needs developed and Olathe Holistic Health and Wellness Center was formed. Suite 203 now incorporates Massage Therapy, Personal Training, Pilates, Physical Therapy and Mental Health Counseling and Therapy, with the hope of adding many more practices to this space in the near future. I have personally found that practicing mindfulness can ease anxiety, depression and quiet our busy minds, which all of us can use during these crazy times. This helps us live in the here and now vs. living in the past or future.
