Back in 2004, after one too many chaotic football-season bar shifts, I realized two things:
✦ I needed a career that did not involve babysitting drunk adults, and
✦ I had always been fascinated by how the human body works — and how to help when it doesn’t.
So I walked into massage school, signed up for a 900-hour program, and never looked back.
I’ve been a licensed massage therapist since 2006 in Florida and 2018 in Colorado. Over the years, I’ve worked in auto-injury rehabilitation, survived the world of “fast-food” massage chains, and worked alongside more therapists than I can count. Along the way, I learned a lot about what works, what doesn’t, and what I’m simply not willing to compromise on.
Here’s the thing: every massage therapist has their own style. Mine is therapeutic, intentional, and tailored to the person on my table.
If you’re looking for a soft-as-a-feather, “barely there” kind of massage, I’m probably not your person — and that is okay. I can't be something I’m not.
My approach is focused and purposeful. I pay attention to what I’m feeling, how your body responds, and what we’re trying to accomplish — then I adjust as we go.
Before every session, we talk. Not endlessly, but enough for me to understand what’s going on, what’s bothering you, and what you want from your massage. From there, I tailor the session to what your body actually needs.
After 20 years in this profession, I still believe good massage requires more than knowing where the muscles are. It takes experience, attention, adaptability, and a willingness to actually listen — both to you and to what your body is telling me.
