I have been practicing massage therapy off and on since 2020 when I started school. Today, I have thousands of hours of hands on experience working on hundreds of people in environments ranging from high-end spas to medical practices. I am well practiced in modalities including (but not limited to):
- Muscle Energy Technique (MET) - I'll guide you through simple resistance exercises while working soft tissue
- Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) - think *fancy* stretching
- Myofascial release - your muscles connect to your bones with connective tissue; this targets that stuff
- Trigger point therapy - "wow I can feel that all the way down to my finger"
- Relaxing Swedish massage - zzzzzzz
- Hot stone massage - ahh, tsssss, zzzzzzzz
- Contrast therapy - strategic application of alternating rounds of ice and heat to "flush" major work sites
- Prenatal massage therapy - contrary to popular belief, expecting moms *can* get responsible body work done with permission and clearance from your medical team.
- Chair massage
I am also a Licensed Massage Therapy Instructor - there are currently less than 2,000 (1,663 as of this writing vs 26,000+ actively licensed therapists) LMTI's in the state of Texas according to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
I actively teach business and ethics at a local massage school.
My practice is in a private suite in my home, and by appointment only.
Proud member of the American Massage Therapy Association.
