Getting older is a pain. Literally. As we grow older, we acquire more stress, it takes longer to do normal routines. To add insult to injury, it's harder to find the energy to live our daily lives. Our bodies have a difficult time keeping up. You turn the wrong way and it takes your back a week to get back to normal. What if I told you those are all things that can be prevented? Often times what feels like back pain is a bodily imbalance. Specializing in back and shoulder pain, I not only work on the problem, but also every contributing factor I can conceive of from poor posture to stress to lack of sleep and everything in between. Through our sessions we will not only try to determine the source of your pain, but make a plan to tackle it together. Each session is designed to meet you where you are that specific day, meaning no two sessions will be the same. After all, you are a dynamic person with thoughts and feelings that can turn on a dime. The thought that your massage shouldn't change with you is inherently flawed. With me, not only will you get a completely unique experience but I also pride myself on offering a totally nonjudgemental and inclusive safe space for all body types and all members of the LGBQTIA+ community. Now a little bit about me. I've been a licensed massage therapist for 9 years now. That still blows me away. It seems as if I just started yesterday. I came to this profession on some wise words of a friend after being jaded and burnt out from a career in retail. She told me that because I have an innate ability to make people feel at ease as well as a natural ability to empathize with people, I would make a great massage therapist. Trusting her judgement, and feeling the need to actually make a significant difference in peoples' lives, I found Cortiva Institute for Massage Therapy and immediately fell in love. Since graduating in 2015, I bounced around various spas and wellness centers until I found that I wanted more freedom with how I practiced and more control over my schedule. I realized that with more flexibility in my schedule to balance my personal life, I'm a much more happy and effective therapist, not to mention the fact that my brain needs different stimulus from day to day to keep me engaged in the things I love. Now I can freely pursue my passion for painting watercolors as well as be the best mom to my two dogs, Bernie and Peter and my cat Eddie. We live in the charming town of Phoenixville, PA, which is not only where I practice, but where I grew up as well. I feel so fortunate and grateful that I can serve the amazing community where I get up.
Go on, be a good friend and share MassageBook with them. They'll love you for it.
