Acupuncture and Massage Christina earned her Masters degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MAcOM) from AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine in Austin, Texas . As part of her training at AOMA, Christina completed a 500-hour Asian Bodywork Program (with 72 clinic hours in Zen Shiatsu), as well as a 500-hour Sheng Zhen Wuji Medical Qi Gong Program. She also completed studies in Massage Therapy and Health Education from the National Holistic Institute in Emeryville, CA, in 1997. Over the years, Christina has gained valuable experience working in a variety of settings, from rehabilitation hospitals specializing in integrative oncology, chiropractic offices, boutique and urban retreat spas, B&Bs, out-call and event servicing, volunteering, private practice, acupuncture clinics, multidisciplinary medical settings, to nonprofits specializing in mental health care. Her focus has been to use acupuncture, shiatsu and massage to manage chronic and acute pain, alleviate stress and anxiety, and aid in the recovery of trauma or injury. Ultimately, Christina's goal is to provide her clients with a nurturing experience that effectively stimulates the body's self-healing process using a well-rounded, integrative approach. Whether you're wanting to recover and rehabilitate, or simply relax and recharge, Christina's treatments are a powerful stand-alone, or adjunctive therapy, on your journey towards health. Christina is currently working on reinstating her Oregon acupuncture license and is working closely with the Oregon Medical Board on her re-entry plan. Christina is an NCCAOM Diplomate of Oriental Medicine and is also nationally certified as a Massage Therapist through the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB). She is also a Licensed Massage Therapist in the state of Oregon and Texas.
