Welcome to Hands on Health Massage Therapy! I am Becca Akicita, LMT. I have been doing massage therapy since graduating in 2011 from Cortiva Institute of Massage Therapy in Scottsdale AZ. I have been passionate about holistic health since my teens and chose massage therapy as a way to share my passion for health and wellbeing in a 'hands on' way and to make a difference in the world.

I began my massage practice in Ashland, Oregon in 2011 and later moved to Coos Bay, OR in 2018 where I built and maintained a thriving practice for just shy of six years. I worked with people in all lines of work from doctors, nurses and teachers to police officers, construction workers, servers and everyone in between. I opened my practice in Corvallis June 2024 and am so honored to now be working with the lovely people of the Willamette Valley. 

As for my therapy style, I specialize in therapeutic work to bring effective change using a blend of many techniques including Deep Tissue, Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release Technique, Sports Massage Techniques, and many other modalities.  I take both a clinical and intuitive approach in technique and treatment. I am also Reiki Level II certified and treat bodywork as a sacred practice.

Having had training in many other methods and modalities, I pull from my knowledge and training in other areas such as Personal Training, Yoga Teacher, Herbology, Reiki and Health Coaching to create a treatment plan, and see what the client responds to best over time. This includes suggestions for at home self-care routines including things such as stretching plans, postural adjustment recommendations, lifestyle or nutritional adjustment suggestions, etc. I'm all about treating you and your body as a whole!

This line of work isn't just a business transaction  for me. I personally invest my heart and energy into finding the best approach for each individual and their body.
