From a young age, I understood the power of touch. Growing up, healing through touch was simply part of life in my family—whether through hugs, comforting hands, scalp massages, or my Big Mama rubbing us down with oils and home remedies. Long before I became a massage therapist, touch represented love, care, and healing to me.
At just 10 years old, my youngest brother was born with cerebral palsy. I followed my mother and brother to countless therapy appointments, watching closely as specialists worked to improve his quality of life. Those experiences deeply impacted me and sparked my passion for bodywork and therapeutic healing.
By high school, I began realizing my hands carried a gift of their own. What started as simple shoulder massages for classmates quickly turned into everyone telling me I had “good hands.” Even then, I knew this path was part of my purpose.
I later began building my career in Los Angeles, California, where I had the opportunity to work alongside professionals from both holistic and medical backgrounds, including chiropractors, acupuncturists, physical therapists, NAET practitioners, yoga instructors, and other wellness professionals. Those experiences expanded my understanding of the body, healing, and the many ways therapeutic touch can improve a person’s quality of life.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of helping people reduce chronic pain, restore mobility, relieve stress, and reconnect with their bodies. Helping others regain comfort and function in their everyday lives is what continues to fuel my passion for this work.
Eventually, the love for my family brought me back home to Ohio, where I now continue my work serving my community through LaBelle Serenity.
My mission is not only to help people heal physically, but also to advocate for greater awareness of the benefits of massage therapy, especially within underserved and urban communities where therapeutic bodywork is often overlooked or inaccessible.
With over 21 years of experience, I continue to approach this work with passion, intuition, and purpose. I truly believe I was called to this path at a young age, and I consider myself simply a vessel—using the gifts God gave me to help others heal, restore, and reconnect with themselves.
