Marlene
moved to the Bellbrook area with her family in August 2013 from Texas. While in Texas she studied at the Austin
Schools of Massage, graduating in 2008.
Since graduation she has continued her education in massage by obtaining
her instructor license in the state of Texas.
She taught massage at New Beginnings School of Massage in Killeen for 3
years. In addition she has studied over
an additional 200 hours of massage. Her
years of experience and education are further enhanced by spa work. She also had the opportunity to work with
Comfort for America’s Uniformed Services (CAUSE) providing relaxation and
therapeutic massage to ease combat stress to wounded soldiers diagnosed with
injuries or post-traumatic stress (PTS).
She obtained her Ohio licensure in December 2013. She is ready to use her skills to bring
comfort, relaxation, relief and restoration to her clients.
She is
dedicated to excellence in the profession by making each massage experience
personal. Taking time to listen to the
needs of each individual and focus her energies in those areas during the
session is what makes her a caring and professional massage therapist ready to
meet your needs. The additional
education strengthens her abilities to provide her clients with exceptional
massage therapy solutions. She is
trained in Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Pre-natal Massage, Hot Stone
Massage, Hot Bamboo Massage, Lomi-Lomi (Hawaiian Massage), myofasical massage, Trigger-point
therapy, Myoskeletal Alignment, and Cranio-Sacral Techniques. She also has experience with positional
release and client-assisted stretching.
She
maintains her Texas licensure for massage and teaching. She actively seeks to increase her knowledge
of massage through continuing education and is currently enrolled in an online
study to expand her knowledge of positional release. She also plans to study lymphatic drainage
techniques to assist clients recovering from surgical procedures and additional
myofasical training in the upcoming year.
When she
is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Go on, be a good friend and share MassageBook with them. They'll love you for it.
