Welcome! I'm Mary Respess, owner of Down East Massage Co. in beautiful Carteret County, NC. I was licensed and began offering professional massage in 2007. Since then I've worked in studio and spa settings in CA, AZ, UT, and NC. Now that I'm back home, it's a privilege to offer chair and table massage for home, businesses, and  special events throughout the county.

I work intuitively, using a mix of modalities to best address each person's individual needs. Usually this looks like a blend of Swedish (long flowing strokes for relaxation), myofascial release (gentle sustained pressure to loosen muscles and relieve pain), and assisted stretching (elongates muscles to promote flexibility).

I also offer pregnancy/postpartum massage, reflexology for the hands and feet, and am studying lymphatic and medical massage.
