Kelsey Dale, LMT
Kelsey Dale is a Licensed Massage Therapist and the founder of Local Roots Massage and Wellness. Since beginning practice in 2017, her work has evolved far beyond traditional massage therapy into a completely fascia-focused, movement-based, and nervous system-aware approach to bodywork.
After years of working hands-on with clients — while also navigating her own chronic tension patterns, stress overload, structural issues, and nervous system dysregulation — Kelsey became deeply focused on one central question:
How does the body function as one connected system?
That question led her into years of research, observation, experimentation, and hands-on practice surrounding connective tissue (fascia), movement patterns, stress physiology, hydration, nervous system regulation, sensory input, and body awareness.
Today, her work is entirely centered around fascia-focused bodywork and assisted somatic massage — a slower, more collaborative approach designed to help the body soften long-held tension patterns, improve movement, and increase awareness through guided touch, movement, positioning, and nervous system support.
This is not traditional massage.
Clients do not simply lay still while receiving pressure. Sessions are interactive, educational, and highly individualized. Kelsey works with the body instead of forcing through it, using slow tissue manipulation, joint movement, positional changes, body mapping, and connective tissue tracking to help clients better understand how tension and compensation patterns move throughout the body.
Her work is especially focused on:
• Chronic tension and bracing patterns
• Fascia restriction and mobility limitations
• Nervous system overwhelm and stress holding
• Postural compensation patterns
• Body awareness and movement education
• Helping clients feel more connected to their own body
Sessions may take place in-office, virtually through Zoom or phone consultations, or directly in clients’ homes for a more comfortable and personalized experience.
Kelsey’s approach is rooted in the belief that the body responds to consistent inputs — movement, touch, hydration, nervous system state, environment, and awareness all matter. Rather than chasing isolated symptoms, her work focuses on improving the system the entire body moves through.
Known for her grounded, practical communication style, Kelsey is passionate about helping people understand their bodies in a way that actually makes sense. Her goal is not temporary relief or dependency on endless appointments, but helping clients build awareness, confidence, and tools they can carry into everyday life.
