Are you stuck? No seriously, are you stuck? Do you keep coming back to massage therapy with the same old issues? Do you want to move forward? Are you willing to start healing?

Here at Just What I Kneaded we believe first and foremost in upholding the dignity of the human person.
For us that means treating every person who comes through our doors with respect, compassion, and unconditional positive regard. It is our mission to help you meet your health goals and fulfill your health care needs if it is within our power to do so.
As a licensed healthcare professional it is my responsibility to provide you, my client, with excellent care, a clean and safe environment, a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, and full disclosure of information involving the work we do in our sessions. Together we strive to move beyond merely treating symptoms and toward finding the root causes of dysfunction and working "from the ground up". Our work is truly therapeutic and is just that, Work. It requires co-operation, effort, and most of all the willingness to heal.
So tell me. Are you willing to start healing?
I began my journey toward becoming a Massage Therapist when my dad was injured in a farm accident when I was six yours old, by the time I was a teenager he was seeking "alternative medicine" to help with his pain management and was receiving massage and his therapist recommended to our family a book: Stretching Anatomy by Nelson and Kokkonen, I still have a copy in my office(Though I have it memorized). This was my first book toward what would become a lifelong study in kinesiology. I started helping my dad, guiding him through the stretches in the book and pressing on him where he was supposed to feel the stretches, I quickly learned my pressing on him helped him "stretch faster".
Years later when I went to massage school I learned I had been reinventing the wheel and there was already a modality that used the principles I had been "discovering" practically: Neuromuscular Therapy. I memorized that book too, and decided that would be the main type of Bodywork I would use in my practice, integrating it with the stretching techniques I developed working with my dad. I decided to call those session my Sports Massage so people know they keep their clothes on, because as much as I move my clients around, having them draped was impractical.
So here we are offering Sports Massage, because Bodywork sounds like I work on cars to most people, and Neuromuscular Therapy falls under specialized jargon along with the other descriptors of the techniques and modalities I integrate and utilize in my sessions.
A lot of people say "I didn't know what to expect, but that was so much better," So this in my effort to explain where I'm coming from and what I do, the best I can suggest is reading my reviews and let my clients speak for themselves.
If all that sounds like something you're willing to try then go ahead and book, if you have more questions feel free to give me a call/text at 517.607.6258
