Planted Therapeutic Massage - Debra Barrett, LMT
Why "Planted Therapeutic Massage"?
People often ask how I chose the name Planted Therapeutic Massage, and the answer is deeply personal.
The word planted represents feeling grounded, stable, and connected—both physically and emotionally. In today's busy world, it's easy to feel disconnected from our bodies. My goal is to help each client slow down, release tension, and leave feeling more centered, balanced, and rooted in wellness.
The name also reflects an exciting new chapter in my own life. After moving to Howell, Michigan, I wanted to build a business that represented who I am and the life I'm creating. Howell has given me the opportunity to put down new roots, and Planted Therapeutic Massage symbolizes growth, new beginnings, and a strong foundation for serving this community.
Nature has always been one of my greatest passions. I love gardening, caring for houseplants, hiking, and spending time outdoors. Plants remind me that growth takes patience, nurturing, and consistency—the same principles that apply to healing. Just as healthy plants thrive when given the right environment, our bodies function at their best when we make time to care for them.
Whether our session includes hands on therapeutic massage, Ashiatsu barefoot massage, cupping therapy, or aromatherapy, hot stones, or a combination of all of the above, my hope is that every session helps you feel more grounded, renewed, and ready to grow.
At Planted Therapeutic Massage, healing begins by putting down roots.
