Studio Respiro—from the Italian respiro, meaning “breath,” “reprieve,” or “respite”—offers an approach to bodywork grounded in the principles of embodied awareness, therapeutic inquiry, and the restoration of somatic equilibrium. It is both a practice and a philosophy: to inhabit the body more fully, to move through pain with intention, and to recover a sense of inner space.
My orientation toward massage is shaped by a lineage of care. Raised in Melbourne Australia, by Italian immigrant parents, I was immersed early in traditional forms of healing—particularly my mother’s use of cupping and intuitive bodywork. These early encounters taught me to understand the body not as a site of dysfunction, but as a living archive of experience, responsive to presence, attention, and touch.
Now based in Hays, Kansas, I bring a multidisciplinary background informed by formal training at Fort Hays State University and a prior career in the arts. My practice draws from a synthesis of modalities—including lymphatic drainage, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, TMJ work, and deep stretching—to support mobility, alleviate chronic pain, and regulate systemic tension. I offer specialized care during pregnancy, with prenatal sessions designed to safely support the shifting needs of the body through each trimester.
Each treatment is individually attuned, and may incorporate tools such as facial Gua Sha, cupping, and thermal therapies to facilitate circulation, reduce stagnation, and encourage somatic integration. Studio Respiro is intended as more than a therapeutic environment—it is a reflective space in which the body can reorganize itself, not through force, but through informed and compassionate contact.
