I am a 2007 graduate of Parkland Community College's massage therapy program. I worked at Mettler Center for nearly 13 years. I also have a master's degree in Kinesiology from Eastern Illinois University. So now, I've been a massage therapist for just about 20 years. Through the various continuing education classes I've taken, I've grown to love using myofascial release (MFR) techniques. In an ideal world, I would probably only do myofascial release because I think it is so effective! After having my son a few years ago, I also became very interested in doula work and prenatal massage. I took an extensive pre- and perinatal continuing education class two years ago and will hopefully have that certification soon. I am trying to grow (and start) my doula practice as well as grow my prenatal massage client population. I also recently took a pediatric myofascial release class and am excited to use those techniques as well.
