I love using techniques such as myofascial release (slow, broad deep body work that calms the nervous system, allowing to release tension) trigger point work (localized applied pressure to palpable muscle bands held together also known as "knots"), using hot stones to relax your whole being and I also incorporate some stretches to create more space. The body loves movement. Stagnation of any kind equals pain and dysfunction. And of course my best, most effective tool is compassion and curiosity. We can look at the body from a mechanical perspective but truth is, there is a living, feeling, conscious being with a nervous system behind this body with tension and "knots". Feeling supported by a fellow human being can bring so much healing in itself. After all, we are all wired for human connection! I graduated from the Palm Beach State College massage program in 2012. I learned from some of the best humans I’ve gotten the honor to meet, who loved their careers and mission. I've also been a nurse assistant since I was 18, getting to know and work with people from all ages, backgrounds and challenges who have taught me to deal with life's unfortunate events with more grace and gratitude. Specially when it doesn't seem fair. This all has given me insight into the human condition and expanded my compassion muscle. I look forward to meeting you and allowing you to breathe a little deeper. Please feel free to message me with any questions you may have.
Go on, be a good friend and share MassageBook with them. They'll love you for it.
