Chelsea Bodding grew up where salt water meets evergreens — among the San Juan Islands of the Pacific Northwest. Life there was shaped by tides, wind, & the quiet pulse of nature.
From her earliest years, rabbits were her constant companions. She felt a deep connection to animals, especially rabbits, whose sensitive & intuitive nature mirrored her own. Her gentle presence could transform even the most timid rabbit into a trusting companion.
Chelsea learned the language of gentleness — listening without words, moving softly, & reading energy before motion. These lessons in patience, presence, & trust now echo through every massage therapy session she provides.
A lifelong kinesthetic learner, Chelsea earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in 2011 from Western Washington University. She later became a Physical Therapist Assistant, graduating from Whatcom Community College in 2017. Her work across various rehabilitation settings — including experiences abroad — has revealed how we carry our stories in muscle, breath, movement, & posture.
Chelsea has had the opportunity to work with individuals in all stages of life, from 1 month to 107 years, & has engaged with bodies in every stage of the healing. With a strong rehabilitation background, she has helped people recover from orthopedic injuries, manage chronic pain, & navigate complex medical conditions — including respiratory care coordination & collaboration with nonprofit groups to provide proper healthcare to orphans in foreign countries.
In 2021, Chelsea’s path shifted profoundly after losing her father to cancer. During his final months, she discovered that massage became a form of communication when words were no longer an option. Through touch, she expressed compassion and understanding — an experience that reshaped her calling toward massage therapy.
When Chelsea discovered Watsu ® she knew it would be a part of her future. This aquatic bliss blends massage, fluid movement, & the weightlessness of warm water. The experience was transformative; she felt suspended between worlds — unburdened & free from all worry, like returning to the innocence of childhood. That feeling became her compass. She began Watsu ® training & recognized her desire for deeper knowledge along with hands-on mastery. It was at this time that she enrolled at the Colorado School of Healing Arts, where she completed her massage therapy program, graduating in 2025.
For Chelsea, massage therapy is more than touch — it’s a dialogue. The body speaks, often in whispers, & she listens. Beneath tension lie stories, memories, & emotions waiting to be released. Her work is an invitation to inhale, come home to your own body, exhale — to rediscover the calm heartbeat beneath the noise of life. For Chelsea, massage is a sacred act of self-care. She believes that the body holds our histories — the good, the painful, & the beautiful — and that through mindful touch, we can release what no longer serves us. Her philosophy is simple: take a breath,
Let go of your worries, relax into the flow of the universe.
Chelsea’s practice is rooted in depth, presence, & continued growth. She favors longer sessions to support meaningful mind-body integration. She is a lifelong learner continually expanding her skillset. In the salt water, Chelsea is currently combining Watsu ® & other integrative aquatic bodywork modalities in Lakewood(very close to body temperature at 96 degrees) in combination with movement, & your breath—to provide a deeper level of care.
Away from her practice, Chelsea feels most herself outdoors — hiking, floating in hot springs or the ocean, in nature, & traveling solo with curiosity as her guide. Evenings often find her cooking, barbecuing, or sharing quiet moments with her rabbit, & continue to remind her of the power of patience & presence. Chelsea is a lifelong learner with a desire to continue growing and integrating techniques that provide a deeper level of healing.
