Lori is a certified and skilled Structural Integration practitioner as well as holding an advanced certification in myofascial release therapy. She has extensive experience and training utilizing Structural Integration techniques and theories in single sessions as well. Myofascial pain release can help to deal with chronic or acute health needs and is an ideal format to try an SI session or use the session to meet an immediate health need. Her passion comes out of her own experience with chronic pelvic and back pain and searching for options for movement and a new relationship with the body. She became a student of yoga and is certified yoga instructor, which also informs her work with clients and has gifted her the ability to empathize with the clients experience's while accessing the knowledge at her disposal on how to work effectively in order to affect lasting results. Lori is particularly interested in postural/structural issues as it pertains to spinal dysfunction and the breath. She has taken many advanced courses in the assessment and treating of chronic pain. While she looks at the body through a global lens, she is especially adept at working with treatment of pelvic dysfunction, cervico/neurogenic headaches, TMJD, neck/shoulder and spinal issues. Through communication Lori keeps her bodywork client centered and integrates different modalities when needed. Lori helps her clients to become cognizant of habitual movement patterns and imbalances in their body and will work with you to improve your quality of life, improve relationship to gravity, restore structural integrity, facilitate injury recovery, and/or manage chronic pain. Lori is certified and facilitates meditation and breathwork practices for groups or individuals as a way of calming and reconnecting to the mind/body experiece with more awareness and presence. She also teaches restorative yoga as a way of reconnecting with the self in a safe and relaxing form of gentle movement.
