Hello I am Alyssa Danielle.
With over 1,430 hours of just education from one of the top rated Massage Schools in California, the National Holistic Institute, I strive to help make massage therapy become more recognized as medical. Using a combination of modalities and addressing the body as a whole, I help clients not only by calming the nervous system but also help facilitate healing which could lead to a faster recovery process. The work I perform focuses on result driven treatment, creating a treatment plan with clients to help them get as close as possible to the results they are looking for. I am certified in neuromuscular massage therapy which helps to alleviate chronic pain, nervous system dysfunctions and other issues. This work spends more time on a specific location, working with soft tissue, relieving trigger points that could be mimicking other pathologies or pain referral, nerve compression, repetitive movement injuries, and much more. Whether it be relieving stress, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, acute injuries, and much more, massage therapy can help play a big role in your recovery journey. After experiencing myself how massage therapy can change your over all well being, along with seeing the results in my clients I highly suggest everyone sees a massage therapist in their lifetime. Monthly maintenance and preventative care are a very important factor to our lives. I am constantly taking Continued Education classes to stay up to date on new techniques and expand my education to help more with clients needs.

Why does the massage industry need Advanced Neuromuscular Therapists and Medical Massage Clinicians?
The Non-Opioids Prevent Addiction In the Nation (NOPAIN) Act, Senate Bill 586, was signed into law on December 28, 2022. The goal of this legislation is to expand patient access to non-opioid pain management interventions in all outpatient surgical settings beginning in 2025.
Because hospitals received equal payment from Medicare whether the patient was prescribed an opioid, or non-opioid medication for pain management, hospitals relied upon opioids. This new policy directs the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services to provide separate reimbursement for non-opioid treatments to manage pain in an outpatient and ambulatory surgery center settings.
Studies have shown that massage therapy is an effective method for managing chronic pain. Recent randomized controlled studies indicate massage therapy can reduce neuropathic pain in diabetic neuropathy, chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy, and nerve injury conditions. Additionally, massage can alleviate pain and enhance joint mobility, muscle relaxation, and circulation.
With studies showing massage therapy as an excellent option for non-pharmaceutical approaches to pain care, the industry is currently in a prime position to alleviate the chronic and persistent pain experienced by over 100 million individuals in the United States that meet the criteria for chronic pain syndrome. The Associates of Applied Science Degree Program trains massage therapists to participate in a patient centered health care system and claim a portion of the over $100 billion spent on chronic pain management without the harmful effects of opioid addiction and prescription pain medication side effects.
