Mark Dizon has started his career as a fitness instructor in 2014. Before that, Mark worked in the hotel industry for six years and thought it would be his career moving forward. As the years went on, he wondered if this is a long-term goal to stay in the hotel industry, and it was then Mark started evaluating his passion. His interest involved running as he participated in 10k's, half-marathons, and likes to help people, which was there that he wanted to be a fitness trainer. Mark went to Gurnick Academy Of Medical Arts and participated in their fitness certification program. Towards the end of his program, his professor connected Mark to the Peninsula Jewish Community Center (PJCC) as part of his internship program. During his time at the PJCC, he learned different scenarios of being a trainer. Mark then became certified and instantly got hired, and that is where his new career began. While working as a trainer at the PJCC, he also took on a role as a kids fitness instructor at Lionheart Fitness Kids. Their goal is to work with children through sports and fitness going to various pre-schools, which teaches them the value of teamwork and learning the basics of throwing and running. As time passed, the pandemic took a toll throughout the world. Mark kept going and shifted some of his time to virtual training where his clients are at the comfort of their home and work out without having to travel anywhere. When December came by, he explored another career path and found Massage therapy. He understands that massage and fitness go hand in hand and decided to make a move. He explored various schools throughout the Bay Area and decided to attend McKinnon Body Therapy Center in Oakland. There he learned all the modalities such as Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports Massage, and learning conditions and how to work with them. Even though Mark learned many styles of massage, he feels confident with Swedish and would like to continue practicing and mastering other styles until he feels he is ready to offer them in his services. After years of experience of being a fitness trainer, kids sports and fitness coach, and now a massage therapist, he learned all the skills to run his own company, and that is when he decided to open up his own business, MD WELLNESS.
Go on, be a good friend and share MassageBook with them. They'll love you for it.
