Hi, I'm Katie. I've been a Professional Massage Therapist since 2008. Over the last 15 years, it's become vividly clear that relaxation massages are only good for just that: relaxation of already "happy" muscles. But what can you do if you have a chronic issue that never gets relief? Typical relaxation massage techniques just do not allow for enough time to be spent as is necessary to change the nervous system response that re-educates the muscles into homeostasis. In other words, the body needs more time.
That's where I've honed my Deep Tissue techniques to provide a full re-education of the muscles. By applying numerous therapeutic modalities, I've learned to correct those chronically activated muscles into a state of pure mush. One of the fears many of my patients have had with their previous Deep Tissue experiences is the amount of pain typically associated with it. Not anymore! When you allow the body the time it needs to fully accept the correction, that's when you see extremely noticeable results. Furthermore, that correction LASTS.
