Nina's wellness journey began in 2013 when she first stepped into The Folded Leaf, seeking something holistic to help transform her sedentary lifestyle. What started as a search for physical benefits quickly blossomed into a profound discovery of how yoga could heal her mentally, emotionally, and spiritually just as much as physically.
In 2018, Nina graduated from Om Seva School of Yoga under the guidance of April Woody, the founder of The Folded Leaf. Now, as the new owner of The Folded Leaf Yoga and Wellness Center, Nina is dedicated to leading and growing the community her dear friend began 16 years ago.
Nina is a Trauma-Informed 500 E-RYT whose love for yoga and holistic wellness has led her to continuously expand her knowledge and skills. She has completed Somatic Movement trainings, Sound and Vibrational Therapy, and is a Certified Level 2 Reiki practitioner. In 2021, she graduated from Mountain State School of Massage in WV and became a board certified licensed massage therapist in West Virginia.
As a specialist in Integrative Bodywork and Therapeutic Massage, Nina practices a variety of modalities including Swedish, deep tissue, neuromuscular, cupping, hot stone, sound healing, and Reiki. She has a passion for helping others tap into their innate abilities to transform their own lives while helping her community find relief naturally through her bodywork sessions and classes.
Nina's yoga classes are rooted in traditional Vinyasa and are alignment-based and heart-centered. She incorporates mindful movements, meditation, breathwork, yogic philosophy, and sound to create a safe, nurturing, and fun space for others to connect and explore their innate wisdom.
She is creative and adventurous. She enjoys being home, but when she isn't there or teaching, she loves being in nature, hiking, spending time with her friends and family, exercising, gardening, cooking, hula hooping, paddle boarding, roller skating, reading, painting and going to see live music.
