Greetings Current and Future Clients: As a massage therapist it is my goal to establish healthy relationships within our community. One of the many things that sets me apart of other therapists is that I feel it necessary to take time with my clients before and after each session to discuss their needs and how their body feels after the massage, what worked and what did not work for them. In addition I like to explain to my clients how the body works, why they are maybe feeling the way they are and to help them to develop a connection and understanding of their mind and body. I am always looking for new methods of treatment to be able to offer my clients a well-rounded treatment plan. It motivates and inspires me to know that I have helped to make a difference my clients overall health and wellness. It has been my observation over the years that you can learn a lot from people if you choose to pay attention, listen and genuinely care about that person. I am committed in my heart of hearts to play an active role in my client’s goals. I need my clients to share that same commitment in order for our sessions to be totally complete. I need my clients to actively participate in their own health and wellness. Massage should not be considered just a "luxury". In fact massage can play a vital role in managing and maintaining your overall health and wellness. Massage to me is about treating the "Whole Person" not just the physical and mental challenges that you my maybe facing. It is a whole mind, body and spirit connection. I feel it is essential to have that "One on One" communication, connection and compassion with my clients. Massage can be a very intimate experience; therefore it is imperative that you feel comfortable with the therapist you are working with in a safe and comfortable environment. Looking forward to working with you. Jan Swiscz Art of Massage Therapy
