About Myofascial Release
The John F. Barnes Myofascial Release (MFR) Approach® is a manual therapy modality that looks at the body through the lens of connective tissue called fascia. Fascia extends throughout the body from head to toe in a continuous and uninterrupted three dimensional web. Fascia surrounds and infuses every structure of the body down to the cellular level. If you've ever heard the saying "it's all connected" when referring to the human body, fascia is the mechanism for full body connection.
Trauma (physical and emotional), poor postural behaviors or inflammation can create restrictions in the fascial web. The restrictions in the fascial web can cause immense pressure on adjacent structures such as nerves, muscles, blood vessels, bone and organs. This pressure on sensitive structures can manifest in the body as pain, restricted motion, restricted function or a host of other symptoms. MFR features gentle yet firm application of sustained pressure into fascial restrictions. As the fascial restrictions are released, the body is better able to engage and apply all of it's amazing self-healing abilities.
Offerings and Rates
I offer one hour Myofascial Release sessions for $125. Pre-payment in full is required to book a session.
Rates are intentionally set to support a "no tip" experience. If you wish to express additional gratitude I am happy and appreciative to receive it in the form of referrals, 5 star reviews on Google and/or MassageBook, hugs, smiles, kind words/wishes or any other sort of energetic exchange.
If you're not sure if this is right for you, email or call to set up a phone consultation at no cost. This gives you the opportunity to gather more information to assess if Grady and/or Myofascial Release is a good fit for your needs.
Late arrival/Cancellation/No Show Policies
- Pre-payment in full is required to book a session.
- Clients arriving late for their scheduled session can still be seen but the session will still end at the scheduled time and the cost of the session will not be pro-rated.
- Clients wishing to cancel their session may do so with at least 24 hours notice (notice must be received 24 hours prior to the start time of the scheduled session). If canceled with at least 24 hours notice, then any prepaid funds can be applied in full to a subsequent session. If the client prefers a refund, a small fee will be assessed against the prepaid funds prior to refund to cover the cost of credit card processing fees.
- Clients that cancel late, with less than 24 hours before the scheduled start of the booked session, or do not show up at all for their appointment ("no show") forfeit the scheduled session time and any prepaid funds.
