“It’s not how deep you go, it’s how you go deep.” — Ida Rolf.
My name is Bonnie Finch, and I have been serving the Waco community through Yoga and Massage Therapy since 2017.
I am a native Texan, growing up in Abilene. I graduated from Abilene Christian University in 2016 with a Degree in Nutrition. Shortly after getting married in June 2017, my husband Alec and I moved to Waco. I attended ABC School of Massage Therapy in 2017 and started my private practice in 2019. While going to school and building my practice, I also taught Yoga at local studios and community events, as well as at Baylor University and MCC.
After having my son (Asher), I took a long season away from my practice to fully lean into motherhood. I saw a handful of clients over the past 6 years to keep my skills sharp and to further my ability to sense things in the body through my hands. I have completed dozens of continuing education sessions over the years to upkeep my license and grow my knowledge. My approach to Massage Therapy has evolved since I first opened my private practice in 2019. Postpartum, motherhood, and various health issues have humbled me in the most wonderful ways. I have leaned heavily on being a client to many different modalities, and learned a little bit more about how to feel good in my own body. Lately, I have been exploring Craniosacral Therapy and Myofascial Release. But above all, I have been learning and practicing slowing down and listening. While I wasn’t always working as a Massage Therapist, being a mom has taught me to be more compassionate, patient, and curious–bringing these skills into my practice have been invaluable to developing my therapeutic instincts.
There is an undeniable and incredible value in therapeutic touch. Massage Therapy offers a way to be seen deeply, allow new spaces to open, and to soothe the body, mind, and spirit. Hugh Milne, Osteopath and Craniosacral Therapist, said it best when he described Massage Therapy as “a timeless gift, a channeling of healing energy guided by the inner eye and delivered from the compassionate heart through sensitive hands.”
I strive to create an environment that is safe and relaxing. My goal is to have clients walk away from my table with a feeling that equilibrium and well-being are within their grasp. In short, I help people discover how GOOD their body can feel!
I am a Licensed Massage Therapist, #MT129813 and Certified Yoga Instructor, 500 RYT, Warriors At Ease Level 2.
