Alisha Sankey is a graduate of Miller-Motte College School of Massage Therapy in Wilmington, North Carolina. She graduated top of her class with honors in April 2012 with 930 hours of clinic and educational experience. She has a Generalized Associates Degree and is a veteran with five years of active duty service in the United States Navy as a Navy Hospital Corpsman. While on active duty Alisha worked in Pediatrics and Family Medicine where she gained clinical experience as an EMT, a EMT/CPR Instructor and was a Registered Medical Assistant (RMR) for over 15 years. While working as a RMA , Alisha discovered she could combine massage with her medical background and decided to attend massage school. She is trained in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point Therapy, Therapeutic Massage, Sports and Medical Massage, Cupping, Acupressure, Reflexology, Cranial Sacral Therapy, Oncology Massage and Palliative and End of Life Massage. She also a Infant Massage Instructor for new and expecting mothers. She has been practicing massage therapy since 2012 under the name Alisha Sankey Massage Therapy Services for over 13 years in Yuma, AZ until 2022 when she relocated to Groesbeck, Tx. She is now has reopening her business under the name The Bodyshop Massage Therapy Services located at 1005 N. Red River Rd. Mexia, Tx 76667.
