I’m Taylor Hardina , a Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist , Registered Nurse , and the owner of Phoenix Rising Massage & Bodywork, LLC . As a Licensed Massage Therapist, I take pride in combining clinical knowledge with holistic care to support lasting wellness. My background includes eight years in geriatric nursing, where I often felt limited by a system that could only offer temporary fixes. In 2022, after finding relief from chronic hip pain through massage therapy, I felt called to pursue it professionally. By November of 2024, I completed over 1,000 hours of training at the Bio-Chi Institute of Massage Therapy in Sioux City , studying anatomy, physiology, business, ethics, and diverse modalities such as Swedish massage, deep tissue, posture integration, reflexology, MTR®, hydrotherapy, and lymphatic drainage. I am also currently studying herbal medicine and consider myself a lifelong learner, continuing to expand my knowledge and deepen my holistic approach through a variety of continuing education opportunities. At the core of my work are the fundamentals that guide every session . Qigong provides the foundation for my practice, shaping my breath, stances, and energy awareness. I also draw on the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine, which emphasize balance and the flow of Qi, and the philosophy of Hakomi, which recognizes that trauma and unresolved experiences can be stored in the body and expressed as pain or imbalance. Because body and mind are inseparable, I believe healing the heart supports healing the body . My philosophy is simple: the client does the real work of healing—I am here to facilitate, encourage, and support . I focus on using breath, Qi, and intuition rather than force, because massage doesn’t have to be painful to be effective. My goal is to hold space where your body feels safe to release tension, restore balance, and move toward lasting well-being.
