Kailin Kenney is an Oregon licensed massage therapist, LMT #19126, and the business owner of Yin Space. She earned a Bachelor of Science from Suffolk University, in Boston, MA, 2009, and is a graduate of East West College of the Healing Arts, in Portland, OR, 2011. Studying the body began with a love for dance. Kailin is classically trained in dance and has enjoyed years of exploring somatic practices, including yoga and 5Rhythms. The inspiration behind her bodywork is rooted in a style of massage called, Ashiatsu. This style of massage involves the application of the practitioner's feet, as well as, the hands on the body. In Japanese, "Ashi" means foot, and "atsu" means pressure. Working with parallel bars above the massage table, Kailin's healing technique share her body weight and foot pressure for deep compression around the body's joints to help alleviate chronic pain and muscle tension. Kailin is also certified in Mana lomi massage, Deep Tissue massage, Structural Integration, Reiki, Craniosacral therapy, and Orthopedic cupping therapy. When she's not running her small business, Kailin finds joy in hiking with friends, delving into plant medicine and herbal tea, traveling, and expressing her creativity through dance, photography, and writing.
