Over the years my nervous system learned to keep me in a constant state of tension. A never ending cycle of physical pain, dissociation, and difficulty recognizing and processing my emotions. Over time, I became increasingly disconnected from my body and started to believe there was something fundamentally wrong with me. I carried a deep, pervasive sense of shame that seemed to engulf every aspect of my life - why did I feel so stuck and different from others?
I spent years trying to fix myself, searching for answers without realizing that I was overlooking something fundamental: my nervous system. Shaped by abuse and the pain of navigating the world without the tools to understand what I was experiencing, my nervous system had learned to prioritize protection over human connection.
Today, I understand that healing isn't necessarily about changing my nervous system to be more like a "normal" person. It's about learning to understand it, regulate it, maintain it, and care for it with compassion rather than shame. It's about recognizing the ways my body has adapted to survive and learning that those protective responses don't have to define how I live.
My personal journey has shaped the way I approach massage. My goal is to provide you with a safe space to unwind without judgment or shame, where you can slow down, reconnect with your body, and approach your physical sensations with greater awareness and compassion. Through mindful, attentive touch, I aim to support relaxation, ease physical tension, and encourage a deeper connection between mind and body. Every session is an opportunity to meet yourself where you are, without pressure or expectation, in an environment rooted in respect, comfort, and care.
Sometimes, reconnection begins with something as simple as learning to feel our bodies again. Not to judge them. Not to fix them. But to listen, to care, and to begin feeling at home in ourselves.
