Please understand and be patient with me for I do have a full-time job and I have four kids to take care of. Plus, I do this on the side so I will absolutely do my best to get you in. I love what I do and eventually I would love to get my own place and make it into a family owned massage/spa!
On the island of Kaua’i I studied under my Kumu (teacher) Carol Hart at Aloha Lomi Massage Academy. I graduated and became a Certified Mana Lomi Massage Therapist in 2012 from Kumu Maka’ala Yates which is my Kumu's Kumu. My massage specialty is Mana Lomi which translates to Hawaiian Spiritual Massage or Life-force of Lomi according to Na Kupuna. This technique uses long gliding strokes with broad forearms from light to deep pressure down to the bone. To learn more about this unique style visit Kumu Maka’ala’s website at https://www.manalomi.com/mana-lomireg-defined.html
When we moved here to Henderson, NV in 2017 I was able to be a stay-at-home mother. When my youngest was old enough for preschool I decided to go back to school and attended Northwest Career College in the Massage Therapy program back in 2019. I graduated in November 2020, and I am blessed to be massaging again. I am compassionate about massage because it is not only a gift but a blessing to have and I would love to continue helping and healing others.
The reason I became a massage therapist is because of my family. It is especially thanks to my eldest son. He was a preemie baby and at six months old, I found out that he had hip dysplasia which is another term for dislocated hips. As my first child, I wanted to do everything I could to make sure he grew up strong and healthy. Without the knowledge from my Kumu she helped me to make sure my son could heal. Honestly if I never went back home to the island of Kaua’i, I would have never realized that healing hands are in my family tree. Studying Mana Lomi has changed my life and is such a blessing to have this knowledge passed down to me and my other Mana Lomi Ohana.
Here's a little bit about me: I am a wife and mother of four amazing children, two dogs, and a cat! (What a full house! How do I manage to do it?) I am consistently busy, so I apologize in advance if I don't respond back immediately. However, I always try my best to respond back as soon as I can. I am very passionate of what I do, and I deeply respect the art of Mana Lomi Massage. Mahalo (thank you) for trusting me to help you invest in a healthier lifestyle.
