LMT in NY and NJ with a diverse professional background spanning clinical, chiropractic, spa, and professional sports settings—including four seasons with the New York Giants. From 2016 until its closure in 2021, I served as a Lead Therapist at Elements Massage in Montclair, NJ, before transitioning into private practice. In 2024, I relocated to Binghamton, NY, where I joined the team at Therapeutic Massage and Holistic Services before moving to 9 Mitchell Avenue, where I now practice independently. Beyond my work in massage therapy, I am also a visual artist and hold a BFA in Design.
My path into massage therapy began with a curiosity and desire to alleviate my own physical discomfort—particularly in the Neck, Shoulder, Lower Back, and Hip regions. In massage school, I learned how occupational factors, recreational activities, and daily habits contributed to my chronic muscle tension. Through education and training, I acquired knowledge and skills to effectively address these issues and a myriad of other injuries and gained insights into how to prevent them. In particular, I understand the unique challenges individuals face concerning Neck, Shoulder, Lower Back, and Hip discomfort, making therapeutic work in these regions a specialty of mine.
While able to perform Western modalities like Swedish and Deep Tissue as standalone sessions, I've learned from years of practice that this approach can be limiting, and can lead to unmet treatment goals. In some cases, it can even be counterproductive. For example, Deep Tissue or Trigger Point Therapy techniques delivered for an extended period to muscles not conditioned for such work may cause harm. Unmet treatment goals can also result from factors like poor communication. That's why my sessions are fully customizable. Through a detailed intake, we'll devise a tailored treatment plan to address your own unique therapeutic concerns and needs, whether for relief or relaxation. Depending on your symptoms, this might involve a full-body massage or targeted work on specific areas only. In any case, we will make these decisions together.
As a longstanding American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) member, I'm committed to ongoing professional development, continuously expanding my skill set, and staying updated on the latest advancements in massage therapy and related subjects. Staying informed, I provide my clients with the most effective, evidence-based treatments.
