Welcome Om Havre De Grace was started by Rebecca Marie Eller, a licensed massage therapist and registered massage practitioner of 18 years, and educator of Couples and Infant Massage Therapy. During her studies she gained a thorough understanding of the benefits of massage therapy and bodywork addressing varying needs across the lifespan.
Rebecca studied Swedish massage and Deep Tissue modalities such as Myofascial Release (MFR) and Trigger Point (TP) Therapy. Rebecca's focus is on meeting others where they are, be it in seeking pain relief or stress reduction and relaxation. For those seeking pain relief, she works to assist in alleviating pain and holding patterns in the body through use of Trigger Point Therapy and methods of Myofascial Release. She utilizes Swedish techniques to provide circulatory support, rest, relaxation, and stress-reduction. Rebecca and the client are a team, working together on the client's goals, both short and long term.
Shortly following becoming a licensed bodyworker in 2005, Rebecca learned about the infant massage community and began studying with Infant Massage USA and the International Association of Infant Massage (IAIM) to become an Educator of Infant Massage Therapy.
Along her path as a massage therapist, bodyworker, and educator, Rebecca sought the guidance of Carol Osborne Sheets in supporting expectant mothers and the growing life within. She studied the practice of both pre and perinatal massage therapy.
In 2008 she traveled to Trimbakeshwar, India to study Yoga Sopan, Parichaya, and Pravesh to bring back to clients ways to gently support body movements focused on increasing flexibility and balance.
Since 2001 Rebecca's professional background was dedicated to the field of psychology. She continued to transition towards more holistic approaches to care for self and others, as she understood that healing touch was invaluable and necessary to a path forward for both a mind and body needing to heal. Rebecca gratefully and openly returned to offering healing touch through massage therapy and bodywork. She is currently working full-time as a LMT, RMP, bodyworker, and educator, offering guidance in infant massage to caregivers as well as partner massage and bodywork education through couples massage workshops.
Rebecca believes it's important to give ourselves and our loved ones every opportunity to thrive, and knows massage and bodywork to be of these gifts. She remains honored to work with clients along their journey towards peaceful healing.
