My name is Mercedes and I’m originally from the Boston area, and at the adventurous age of 24 I took a leap of faith and moved to the DMV area to step outside my comfort zone. I graduated from the University of New Hampshire with my Bachelors in Social Work, and spent most of my early years working with children and families in crisis. Having obtained a formal education in both massage therapy and social work, I’ve been able to bring a unique blend of knowledge and skills to my practice. I completed a training program at Cortiva, Baltimore School of Massage where I acquired a solid foundation in various massage techniques, including Swedish, deep tissue, sports massage, reflexology and trigger point therapy. My ability to tailor treatments to meet individual needs allows me to create a customized experience for each client.
