***8/20/21 Update: at this time my book is full and I am no longer scheduling new clients***
I became a body worker because I struggled with low back, knee, and shoulder pain in my 20s and a combination of Pilates, massage therapy, and chiropractic care got me out of pain and into a new level of physical fitness. My practice focuses on creating balance in the body through releasing what's tight through manual therapy and foam rolling education coupled with full body strengthening to create long term change in the postures and habits that underlie those chronic stiff and sore spots. My passion is sharing simple self care practices that can empower my clients to create big shifts in how they feel day to day. I draw on my experience in exercise, movement analysis, active release work, Swedish, myofascial release, deep tissue, and stretching to create an effective program for each client. (I do tend to ask you to engage your mind and muscles as we work together, unless you specifically tell me you need a relaxation day.) In any session, my most important technique is listening and collaborating with my client to tailor our work to be most effective for them and for the body, mindset, and being they bring into the room that day.
Go on, be a good friend and share MassageBook with them. They'll love you for it.
