I've been practicing massage since 2011, certified in 2017, and licensed in 2019. Trained in various massage techniques including Swedish Massage, Shiatsu, Thai massage, Structural Integration, NMT, Ortho-Bionomy, and I had the privilege of learning Lomi Lomi from Jeana Iwalani Naluai . Q & A: What motivated, or led you to become a professional massage therapist? When I was 20, I injured my lower back (L-4,5) while serving in the US Air Force. I continued to live a very active life and dealt with the pain & spasm's the best I could. The pain became so debilitating at times I literally couldn't walk. A neurosurgeon suggested I undergo back surgery. Tried to avoid that by all means necessary. Vigorously researching, seeking any natural ways to cope & get relief from the constant pain. Receiving massage & pursuing a healthy lifestyle has had the most impact on managing my back pain. In 2011, I began professional training in the pursuit of starting a new meaningful career to serve others & share what I've learned along my healing journey. What kind of approach do you bring to your bodywork, and what massage techniques do you specialize in? I'm a very sensitive/intuitive person. I'm also fascinated with human anatomy, and how the body has been so uniquely created. This awareness caries over naturally to my practice while integrating various modalities of massage techniques.
Go on, be a good friend and share MassageBook with them. They'll love you for it.
