In the midst of the covid pandemic I was let go from my job at a local cafe and decided to take a chance on something new. I had recently been diagnosed with an autoimmune condition and finally began to understand the connection between my stress and my health - regulating my nervous system became my top priority and I found myself on a mission for answers. I was sick, unemployed, and living with my parents when I decided to enroll in massage therapy school.
As I worked my way through the program I discovered a deep love for anatomy and physiology which prompted me to take extra classes so I could graduate with a certification in Neuromuscular therapy. I was able to teach myself how to slow down and feel the connection between my brain and my body. I also began to do my own health research and found that almost 80% of people who suffer from auto immune diseases are women.
The information I uncovered on my research journey set my mission on a new path. I had helped myself heal - now was the time to focus on how I could use my skills to help the women in my community heal too. I cherish the opportunity to enter a client's home and create a safe environment where she can relax and connect to her body, mind and spirit. Women make the world go 'round! They deserve to stop, breathe, and take control of their own health too.
